Our Goldstream Monster Gear Pumps are awesome self-priming portable close-coupled rotary gear pumps designed to transfer heavy oils extremely well and extremely fast! Designed from the ground up to handle highly viscous oils, they're purpose built pumping beasts that'll move oil incredibly well and are built to perform! They're available in 12 and 25 gallon per minute models and are powered by custom made heavy duty industrial grade electric motors.

Purpose Built To Transfer Thick, Heavy Oils
If you've ever transferred oil, you know what kind of a headache it can be with other pumps. The problem is that most pumps on the market just aren't meant to move high viscosity liquids like vegetable & motor oil. Either you end up buying multiple cheap pumps that stress out, blow fuses, melt down, or flat out implode, or you end up stuck with a pump that won't prime or will only work intermittently when you need them most. Well, WVO Designs dealt with the same thing and finally had enough & decided to engineer pumps that would actually move thick oils easily, last longer than a few days, and was actually worth buying. And with that was born the Goldstream Monster Gear Pump line.

Great For Lighter Liquids Too!
In addition to handling thick liquids, the monster gear pump is also great at transferring diesel fuel, heating fuel oil, kerosene, biodiesel, and other lighter liquids too!

Built In Carrying Handle
Over the years our monster pumps have developed from basic gear pumps into long lasting, robust pumping machines! With all that industrial pumping power on tap, the pumps can become somewhat cumbersome to handle, so we've added a handy carrying handle that attaches to the top of the motor and makes transporting this beast of a pump a breeze!

Heavy Duty Motor Specifications
The USA made Baldor 3/4 horse power electric motors are a custom made industrial design that are built just for the Golstream Monster Gear Pumps! They're available in a standard duty 3450 RPM model or a heavy duty 1700 rpm model. Both are thermally protected, and can run off of single phase 120 volts at 60 hz. They come pre-wired with a 120 volt 3 prong power cord and and pull 8.4 amps at 120 volts so a standard 10 amp residential power outlet can power this beast with ease!

12 GPM Available In 12 Volt

Need to pump but don't have access to a 120 volt outlet? We offer our 12 GPM Pump in 12 volt as well! Our 12 volt motor is a heavy duty US Made Baldor 1/2 HP 40 amp motor rated at 1800 RPM, so it spinds slighty faster than our 12 GPM 120 volt model (which means you may get slightly higher flow output). The 12 volt motor doesn't come with a switch, power cables, or a carrying handle. For power cables, we recommend using an appropriate gauge and length of wire to allow a full current load to the motor (similar to jumper cables). We also recommend using an inline fuse as well to protect the cables.

Pump Head To Motor Coupler

Our Goldstream Monster Gear Pump heads are attached to the motors with a three piece flex coupling. They slide onto the pump & motor shafts using the shaft keys provided with the motor and pump head. Then, using an allen wrench, locking screws on the couplers are tightened to secure them to each shaft. The rubber element then goes between the pieces to complete the coupling!

The Massive Pump Head

Mounted to the monstrous heavy duty electric motor through a direct drive flexible coupler is a massive gear driven pump head. The pump head is a "straight through" design, meaning that oil comes in one side and out the other and doesn't have to turn any corners in the pump body. This means a less restricted flow, which in turn means great output! The pumps are also sealed with viton seals which means they're compatible for pumping Biodiesel too! The pump heads are built for heavy duty use and are available with our heavy duty electric motors, or separately for mounting to a gas motor when attached to our gas engine pump mount. This makes them ideal for pumping waste vegetable oil (WVO), waste motor oils (WMO), or even Biodiesel!

The Heavy Duty Oil Sucking Gears


Inside the belly of the beast are the massive gears that'll eat oil like no tomorrow! Being that it's a gear pump, this means that there's no priming necessary. Gelled oil also isn't a problem for this beast. It'll eat it like it's going out of style. Just connect the hoses, turn on the pump and let the fun begin!

Monster Gear Pump Ports

Gear Pump Head with 1" Ports & 1.25" Hose Barbs
The pump heads feature 1" threaded NPT ports to make connecting hoses a cinch! You can choose to thread hoses directly into the pump head or use our included stainless steel hose barbs that fit 1.25" ID hose perfectly!

Reversible Electric Motors
The electric motors that ship with the pump heads can spin both ways. It requires some rewiring of the motors, an extra switch, and some drilling on the motor switch housing, but can be done.

Available In Two Outputs
Our Goldstream Transfer Pumps are available in two varieties; 25 GPM and 12 GPM. Our 25 GPM standard duty gear pump is ideal for moving waste vegetable oils (WVO) and can move it with great ease, even in cooler weather! However, if you need to move waste motor oil, gear oil, automatic transmission fluid, or other extremely viscous oils, opt for our heavy duty 12 GPM model!

The upgraded heavy duty motor is mounted to the same 25 GPM pump head, but spins at 1700 RPM which allows it to deliver four times the torque to the massive pump head and gives it the ability to pump thicker oils at up to 12 gallons per minute! It's also the perfect pump for moving really thick, cold oils that need a little extra grunt to get them moving.

Easy To Assemble
Once your Goldstream Monster Gear Pump arrives, assembly is a breeze! Attach the handle & shaft couplers, then mount the pump head to the motor, attach hoses and you're ready to go! Check out our assembly video below to see just how easy it is. We put one together in under 10 minutes!

Gas Engine Pump Head Mount
Want to run a Monster Gear Pump with a gas engine instead of an electric motor?
Then our gas engine pump mount kit is what you need!

This kit allows you to attach any of the Goldstream Pump Heads to most small gas motors. The mount is designed to fit engines with a bolt circle of 3 5/8" (92 mm) and includes mounting hardware to attach it to the Goldstream Pump Head plus a shaft coupler. The kit includes (4) 3/4" x 5/16-18 UNF (course threaded) and (4) 3/4" x 5/16-24 UNF (fine threaded) engine motor mounting bolts. Depending on the exact motor you choose, you may need to one or the other. Harbor Freight motors use the fine threaded bolts. Scroll to the very bottom of this page to purchase a gas engine pump mount, pump head, & shaft coupler kit!

Common compatible gas motors include:
Harbor Freight 79 cc 3 HP Gas Engine (16 mm Shaft)
Harbor Freight 212 cc 6.5 HP Gas Engine (3/4" Shaft)

WVO Designs ran a test with a Monster Gear Pump and was able to easily pump 250 gallons
of 65° F oil out of a tote on the ground, through 30 feet of 1.25" hose, up 7 feet and into an oil tote in a whopping 10 minutes (or at a rate of 25 gallons per minute).

Moves Cold, Gelled Vegetable Oil Like Crazy!

After the initial test, they allowed the vegetable oil to cool down to a frigid 36° F to see how well this mighty pump would do. Click on the video above and watch just how well this thing did! It moved the oil with absolutely no problem! Look closely and you can see just how gelled the oil is coming out of the end of the tube. Simply amazing!

Goldstream Monster Gear Pump Warranty
WVO Designs offers a 1 year warranty on all the Goldstream Monster Gear Pumps. During the 1 year period, if something goes wrong in the workmanship of the pump, WVO Designs will repair or replace the broken component. Shaft Seals & bearings are warranted for 1 year.

This pump is not warranted or recommended for pumping water, highly aqueous solutions (ie. waste trap grease), highly flammable liquids (ie. gasoline, methanol), or solids.
