Description:
This kit is ideal for testing for soaps in Biodiesel and in methanol. It comes with two pints of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol,
Bromophenol Blue, 0.01 Normal Hydrochloric Acid, a 200 mL glass beaker, a pipette pump, and three pipettes. It also
comes with excellent detailed instructions on how to perform soap tests properly including all the calculations
you'll need to make, as well as great explanations of how the chemistry behind the soap test works. The kit and
instructions are put together by Arbor Biofuels Company
and the test itself is based loosely on the AOCS Soap Test Method.
This kit is great for testing finished Biodiesel to see if all of the soaps have been removed.
It's also ideal for testing the Rinse Methanol used in the process of flushing the ion exchange
resin in dry wash resin columns to ensure they've been properly cleaned.

a sample of methanol from an Ion Exchange Resin Tower that was being cleaned.
Additional Instructional Video
This video was put together by Utah Biodiesel Supply at the Springboard Biodiesel factory (maker of the SpringPro T76). It goes
